OLD TOWN — It's flu season, so it's a good time to check out an Old Town wellness clinic specializing in hydration through "intravenous therapy," shots and high-dose vitamins.

Among those who might benefit from those treatments are the severely hungover, people looking to pre-hydrate for a long plane ride, athletes such as marathon runners and those looking for a little extra energy while fighting off a sickness.

"There is no cure for the common cold or flu, but one of the best ways to treat symptoms is to stay adequately hydrated. Proper hydration and nutrition can help the body prevent further infection from setting in when the body is fighting a cold or flu," said Dr. Jack Dybis, who is one of the doctors behind the clinic.

Want to know more? IVme Hydration Clinic, 1347 N. Wells St., is open Monday- Sunday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Additional hours and house calls are available upon request.
