SOUTH LOOP — The Adler Planetarium will allow free entry on select days to Illinois residents, the museum announced Thursday.

In addition to a free general admission pass, the museum will offer a nearly 50 percent discount to Illinois residents on basic passes (which grant visitors access to one planetarium show) and all-access passes (which let them into unlimited shows) on selected dates.

The offer will run from Sept. 14-25 and Oct. 5-9, and again on Oct. 12 and Nov. 11.

Museum hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends.
