CHICAGO — "Has your dream always been to run away with a cat circus?"

So asks an ad posted on Craigslist Monday for a cat circus tour assistant.

If you haven't found a job that perfectly blends your skills in cat herding and theater know-how before, the Amazing Acro-Cats might be the perfect fit.

The Amazing Acro-Cats are a Chicago-based touring cat circus (and cat rock band) that play shows around the country and often appear on television.

The Acro-Cats will have a run of home-town shows in Chicago in early October and are slated to appear on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" Nov. 17, according to the website.

The tour assistant would encounter more than just cats, as the circus also features a groundhog, chicken and a few rats.

Candidates should be "open to new experiences, lots of fun and craziness," according to the ad.

The cats and their circus trainers travel in a tour bus the New York Times called "reminiscent of the Partridge Family’s."

The tour assistant would perform animal care and theater tasks, like stage management, prop placement, lighting and more.

Those with cat allergies need not apply:

"No cat allergies. MUST LOVE CATS! Serious applicants only. This job is a LOT of work and time on the road, but also the opportunity of a lifetime."
