HYDE PARK — Being able to see the Robie House won’t be an impediment to enjoying the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home during a special tour.

The Frank Lloyd Wright Trust is adding special tours for the blind and deaf at the Robie House, 5757 S. Woodlawn Ave., and three other Wright buildings.

The tours honor the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and offer American Sign Language and touch tours of the Robie House, the Rookery Building, the Emil Bach House and the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio in Oak Park.

American Sign Language Tours:

1:30 p.m. Sept. 23, Emil Bach House, 7415 N. Sheridan Road

Noon Oct. 2, the Rookery Building, 209 S. LaSalle St.

9:30 a.m. Oct. 4, Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio, 951 Chicago Ave., Oak Park

Touch Tours:

4:30 p.m. Sept. 19, Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio

2:15 p.m. Oct. 8, Emil Bach House

4 p.m. Oct. 25, Frederick C. Robie House

12:30 p.m. Nov. 6, the Rookery Building lobby

The trust is also looking for guides to lead more standard tours of the Robie House and Wright’s home.

The three-week program that involves online study, class lectures and workshops will start in the fall after an orientation session.

Training sessions for the Wright’s home and studio start on Sept. 22 at the museum, 951 Chicago Ave. in Oak Park.

Robie House training starts Nov. 3 at the Robie House, 5757 S. Woodlawn Ave.
