Lincoln Park Zoo Hosting First-Ever Fall Fest Three Weekends in October

By Mina Bloom | August 21, 2015 6:22am

LINCOLN PARK — For the first time, Lincoln Park Zoo is throwing a festival dedicated to all things fall.

Scheduled for the first three weekends in October, the free fall fest will offer a ton of kid-friendly activities, including a corn maze, hay mountain and a 60-foot burlap sack slide on the zoo's Main Mall.

There will be a pumpkin carver on hand, as well as a Ferris wheel, inflatable courses and rides for kids to enjoy. Festgoers can also expect educational activities and live entertainment.

Throughout October, pumpkins will be for sale daily at the Pritzker Family Children's Zoo pumpkin patch. Pumpkins vary in price depending on the size.

While the festival itself is free and open to the public, rides aren't. It'll cost $3 for one ride, $27 for 10 rides or $51 for 20 rides.
