ALBANY PARK — Some day, the International Olympic Committee might recognize bags as a medal sport.

Stranger things have happened. See: curling.

Until then, you'll have to go for the cornhole gold at Albany Park Community Center's Yard Game Olympics on Aug. 29.

Demonstrate your prowess in bags, bocce and ladder golf, all in a bid to win the coveted Corporate Cup.

Register individually or as a team of four. Solo contestants will be placed on a random team. Cost is $40 per person or $160 per team, with all proceeds benefiting the community center's programs for children and families.

The event will be held 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on the campus of Northeastern Illinois University, 5500 N. St. Louis Ave.
