Jump Roping, 'Airbnb 101' Among 31 Free Classes Saturday in Wicker Park

WICKER PARK — On Saturday, you can develop tools for "living a life with no excuses," learn to salsa dance or jump rope, all for free.

Set for 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, the sixth annual Learnapalooza will take place at venues throughout the area, including the Wicker Park Field House, The Den Theatre, Jackson Junge Gallery and North Avenue Day Care.

Though the volunteer-led classes held throughout the neighborhood are free, donations are welcome.

Some Highlights:

Jump Rope for Kids (ages 5 and up) will run from 11 a.m.-noon. Jump ropes will be provided; athletic shoes recommended. Sign up.

Family Yoga, for adults and kids who want to learn yoga stretches and poses together, is set for 2-3 p.m. Sign up.

Airbnb Hosting 101: Recently selected as a Chicago Community Leader for the space sharing website, a veteran Airbnb host with 1½ years of experience will brief attendees on what they need to know about joining the site, creating a listing, working with guests and more. Sign up.
