CHICAGO — Presidential hopeful Scott Walker will swing through Chicago on Thursday to raise money for Illinois House Republican Leader state Rep. Jim Durkin, according to the Sun-Times.
Before the evening fundraiser at the Peninsula Hotel, 108 E. Superior St., Walker will be in suburban Downers Grove headlining a DuPage County GOP Summer Reception.
Entrance to the Peninsula event costs between $1,000 to $10,000, the Sun-Times reports.
“At each event, Walker will speak with voters, activists, and local leaders, sharing his message as a fighter and a winner with a proven record of reform in Wisconsin,” the Wisconsin governor's representatives told the paper.
