LINCOLN SQUARE — Wanna know what's up with the long-delayed Roots Pizza on Lawrence and the less-long-delayed Jerry's Sandwiches on Lincoln?
Call 'em out on Twitter.
That's the tactic one Lincoln Square resident took, and he got answers.
.@LincolnSquared & @Pattydnachicago place your bets on which of these open first: @RootsPizza, @NorthmanChi or @WithHotSauce

Jerry's responded first:
@Pattydnachicago @hcmg @LincolnSquared @RootsPizza @NorthmanChi Had issues with zoning. We're shooting for Dec 1 at the latest now.

And then Roots chimed in:
@WithHotSauce @Pattydnachicago @hcmg @LincolnSquared @RootsPizza @NorthmanChi we are looking like November on our end
— Scott Weiner (@ScottThe50) August 12, 2015
So there you have it. Roots, which first announced the deal that would bring it to 2200 W. Lawrence Ave. in July 2013, is aiming to open in November.
Jerry's, announced in September 2014 for 2326 W. Giddings St. with a projected opening of June 2015, will be serving up sandwiches in December.
Do you believe in miracles?
