NORTH PARK — Something "Sinister" is afoot at Bohemian National Cemetery.
A sleeper horror hit in 2012, "Sinister" will hit the screen Friday night at the graveyard.
The flick stars Ethan Hawke as Ellison Oswalt, a true crime writer who unwittingly moves his family into a house with a murderous past. Make that murderous present. Yo, Ellison, you should totally fire your real estate agent ... if you live long enough.
The movie's surprising success naturally spawned a sequel. "Sinister 2" is due in theaters Aug. 21 — hence the re-release of the original.
Friday's showing of "Sinister" is the first ever outdoor movie at the cemetery and even though the event is purely marketing driven, we gotta say, it's a match made in hell.
Gates open at 8 p.m., 5255 N. Pulaski Rd., and the movie starts at 9 p.m. Admission is free, seating in the picnic area is first-come first-served. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, but you're going to have to leave the liquid courage at home — no alcohol allowed.
Here's hoping life doesn't imitate art.
