LINCOLN SQUARE — Hamlet thought he had it rough with his existential "to be or not to be" crisis.

That's nothing compared to the difficult decision facing the people of Lincoln Square this weekend. They have to decide among not one, not two, but three separate free Shakespeare productions in the neighborhood's parks.

But wait, no need to choose at all. Here's how to collect all three:

Friday: Chicago Shakespeare Theater brings its production of "Shakespeare's Greatest Hits" to Welles Park, 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2333 W. Sunnyside Ave. The show will feature scenes and characters from the Bard's most indelible works, set to a score of today's popular music.

What to pack in your picnic: Take a cue from "Antony and Cleopatra" and bring eight wild boars roasted whole.

Saturday: Shakespeare's Motley Crew presents its unique brand of mayhem at 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Winnemac Park, 5101 N. Leavitt St. The show is a collection of scenes "celebrating things weird, fierce, prophetic, poetic, tragic, magic, dizzy and drunk."

What to pack in your picnic: Make like "Romeo and Juliet" and try a pastry stuffed with dates and quinces.

Sunday: Midsommer Flight sticks with the classics, mounting a production of "Macbeth" at Gross Park, 6 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, 2708 W. Lawrence Ave.

What to pack in your picnic: It's the Scottish play and your third Shakespeare production in three days — obviously a bottle of Scotch.
