DUNNING — A series of events in Far Northwest Side parks will give residents a chance to dance away the end-of-summer blues.

Events that will take place at Far Northwest Side parks through the end of August include:

Get Moving: DJ Monty will get the crowd jumping by playing new and old dance favorites from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at Shabbona Park, 6935 W. Addison St.

Are You Ready to Rock? Students from the Lakeview-based School of Rock are set to rock Oriole Park, 5430 N. Olcott Ave., at 7 p.m. Aug. 21.

In the Eye of the Beholder: A performance by Urban Gateways designed to expose young people and families to diverse cultural and artistic experiences will take place from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Aug. 24 at Sauganash Park, 5861 N. Kostner Ave.
