Woodlawn Shooting Wounds 79-Year-Old Woman, Teen

WOODLAWN — A 79-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man were wounded in a shooting in Woodlawn Wednesday morning, police said. 

Just after 9 a.m., the two were shot in the 800 block of East 63rd Street, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The woman was brought to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound in her back, Pacheco said, and the man was brought to University of Chicago Medical Center with a gunshot wound in his left arm.

Both their conditions were stabilized, Pacheco said.

Police could not immediately provide any further information on the shooting.
