OLD TOWN — Texas-based takeout chain, Snap Kitchen, opened its newest location in Old Town over the weekend.

The Old Town restaurant, 1226 N. Wells St., is the latest Chicago outpost for Snap Kitchen, an Austin, Texas-based chain that offers health-conscious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The menu at the Old Town location will be the same as other locations, according to a Snap Kitchen spokeswoman.

Patrons can expect everything from chicken sausage breakfast tacos to bison quinoa hash, as well as a plethora of gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, paleo, dairy-free, low-carb and low-sodium options. Entrees range from $8-14, while healthy snacks like roasted almonds will typically set you back $1-5.

Locations Lincoln Park, Lakeview and The Loop opened earlier this summer.

The chain is also eyeing a spot in Wicker Park and has said it intends to open additional Chicago locations this year.

All Snap Kitchen locations are open Monday - Thursday from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m., Fridays 7 a.m. - 8 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sundays 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
