ALBANY PARK — Put on some parachute pants, pop the collar on your shirt, tease your hair to new heights and join Go Albany Park on the first of weekly themed Monday night bike rides.

The series kicks off with an '80s theme, so if you've been looking for an excuse to rock a mullet and shoulder pads, this is it.

Meet Monday at 6 p.m. in the parking lot of Roosevelt High School, 3436 W. Wilson Ave.; cyclists will set out at 6:30 p.m.

The one-hour ride will leisurely wind its way to Laurie's Planet of Sound in Lincoln Square, 4939 N. Lincoln Ave. Bring your bike, helmet, lock and lights. For more '80s style inspiration, check out Like Totally 80s on Facebook. Be warned: It's not pretty.

Future rides and themes, all meeting at 6 p.m. at Roosevelt:

• Aug. 10, "Mamma Mia": Ride to Wilson Park, 4630 N. Milwaukee Ave., for Movies in the Park. Bring a blanket and food and settle in for a screening of the popular movie musical set to an ABBA soundtrack.

• Aug. 17, superhero ride. Tights! Capes! Masks!

• Aug. 24, Roaring '20s ride. Time to pull that gangster suit or flapper dress out of the closet.

• Aug. 31, Full Moon Fire Jam ride: A four-mile ride along Lawrence Avenue to the lakefront, where the Full Moon Fire Jam will feature fire dancers, music and more.
