CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was shot in Hyde Park Tuesday night, police said.

At 7:52 p.m., the man was shot in his shoulder while sitting in a car in the 5100 block of South Drexel Avenue by an unknown gunman in a passing car, according the University of Chicago Police.

He was taken to the University of Chicago Hospitals in fair condition, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
