LINCOLN SQUARE — A new string of businesses on Damen Avenue is quickly becoming a sort of retail Rat Pack.
The gang, which just teamed up for AmperBash, is getting together again for a block party to benefit Easter Seals.
The shindig, set for 6-9 p.m. Thursday, is headquartered at District, 4835 N. Damen Ave., with Alapash, Ampersand, Groundswell Cafe and One Key Yoga also taking part in the event.
A $10 donation at the door will get partygoers access not only to the shops after hours, but food and wine tastings. Additional eats and drinks will be available for purchase.
For the price of a $5 per raffle ticket (five for $20), buyers will be entered in a drawing to win prizes that include a pair of three-day passes to the Pitchfork Music Festival. Other goods up for grabs range from a five-pack of yoga classes to dinner for two at Ampersand.
The block party is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of passage of the Americans with Disability Act. Easter Seals provides services and support to people with disabilities and their families.
