Successful South Side Businesses Offering Tips To Help Others Succeed

GRAND BOULEVARD — South Side entrepreneurs can get some tips on starting or growing their businesses Saturday at the 3rd Ward Small Business and Entrepreneurship Workshop.

Registration for the free workshop starts at 9:30 a.m. at the National Teacher’s Academy, 55 W. Cermak Road.

The panel discussions will start at 10 a.m. with speakers on how to start and grow a business and strategies for attracting and managing financial investors.

Panelists include Kamau Murray of XS Tennis, Alida Miranda-Wolff of investor group Hyde Park Angels, Donna Rockin of the IIT Knapp Entrepreneurship Center and others.

There will be plenty of time for networking as well in an open environment in which business owners are encouraged to share strategies for better budgeting and streamlining operations.
