CHICAGO — Two men were wounded in separate shootings in the South and West Sides Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Most recently, a 22-year-old man was fighting with another man in the 600 block of East 67th Street in Woodlawn, when one man pulled out a gun and shot the man in his eye around 5:10 p.m., said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was listed in good condition, Zala said.

An hour earlier in East Garfield Park, a man, whose age was unavailable, was shot in the 700 block of North St. Louis Avenue around 4 p.m., Zala said, citing preliminary information.

The man drove himself to Stroger Hospital where he was being treated, Zala said.

No further information was available.
