CHICAGO — Montrose Harbor is expected to be overtaken by 4,000 pet-lovers Sunday.
The 15th Annual Run for Their Lives 8K Run/4K Walk from animal shelter Paws Chicago, 1997 N. Clybourn Ave., will benefit local homeless animals.
The day will feature a dog agility course, dog buffet, as well as a performance by agility dog JuneBug the Pitbull. An after party will have live entertainment, food trucks and a raffle.
Events at Montrose Avenue and Simonds Drive go from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday, and registration is open online until 6 p.m. Saturday but can also be completed the morning of the races.
