Man Fatally Shot in Humboldt Park Identified

CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was fatally shot in Humboldt Park Monday afternoon, police said.

Around 2:25 p.m., the man was in the 700 block of North Hamlin Avenue, when he was approached by gunman who fired shots in his direction, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Master G. Roberson, 23, of the 1400 block of North Linder Avenue, was shot in his head and chest and was and pronounced dead at 3:16 p.m., according police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

According to police, the man was a documented gang member.
