HYDE PARK — The Hyde Park Neighborhood Club is offering two days of free basketball training camps for kids in elementary and middle school.

The day camp is being offered free thanks to a new partnership between the neighborhood club, 5480 S. Kenwood Ave. and the Chicago Mustangs Basketball Club.

On Sunday, girls in 2nd through 5th grade will get a chance to work on fundamentals like shooting, passing, rebounding and dribbling from 2:30-4 p.m. Girls in 6th through 8th grade will get a chance from 4-5:30 p.m.

A camp for boys will be held on June 7 at the same times for the same age groups.

The camps will be held in the neighborhood club’s gymnasium.
