RAVENSWOOD MANOR — Set the alarm for "early as heck" on Sunday or risk missing out on some of the best bargain hunting of the year.

Ravenswood Manor's annual community-wide yard sale gets underway at 10 a.m. Sunday, and veterans of the event know that the best stuff goes quickly.

Hundreds of households take part in the sale, which runs until 4 p.m. To search for treasures, just follow the map below, or simply wander the sidewalks and alleys located between Montrose, Lawrence, Sacramento and the Chicago River.

You also can get an early start on Saturday, when the Independence Park yard sale brings sellers together in a single location — Independence Park, 3945 N. Springfield Ave. Dozens of booths will be set up throughout the park from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

The West Walker Civic Association is also holding its 30th annual neighborhood-wide garage and yard sale from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Nearly 100 households are expected to participate. Boundaries for the sale are Irving Park and Pulaski roads, Central Park and Montrose avenues.
