NORWOOD PARK — Eat your heart out, Michael Jordan.

St. Thecla's girls track team won its fourth straight championship this spring — something not even the Chicago Bulls legend can put on his long list of accomplishments, coach Michael Gibbons said.

"It was a very successful day for a little school," Gibbons said, celebrating the four-peat.

Claire Anderson, Mary Kate Borner, Summer Roche and Mary Claire Weber have been running together since fourth grade. The fifth member of the team, Gabriella O'Hehir, joined in fifth grade.

The team won the league's junior varsity championship in 2012 and 2013, and won the varsity championship in 2014 again earlier this month, Gibbons said.

The Norwood Park Catholic school's junior varsity team also won its conference championship, Gibbons said.
