IRVING PARK — Remember when Cher added so many dates to her "Farewell Tour" she had to change its name to the "Never Can Say Goodbye Tour"?

Mirabell hasn't quite reached that point, but owner Jeff Heil has pushed back the restaurant's closing yet again.

For the second time in two weeks, Heil has bowed to public pressure and granted Mirabell a reprieve. The restaurant, initially slated to close May 3, will now remain open through May 16.

Stop in any time from 4 p.m. to close Thursday, Friday or Saturday. A limited menu — bratwurst, schnitzel, goulash and a handful of other items — will be available.

For nearly 50 years, the last 40 under the Heil family's ownership, Mirabell has been serving up a mix of authentic German and Austrian cuisine.

Heil is putting the property at 3454 W. Addison St. up for sale and plans to decamp with his wife and five-year-old daughter to Katy, Texas.

"I'm excited as hell," he told DNAinfo, though he now seems to have a learned a lesson Boyz II Men could've told him all along.

It's so hard ... to say goodbye ... to yesterday.
