Police Investigating Cause of Fire at Windy City Produce Monday

IRVING PARK — A fire ripped through Windy City Produce in Irving Park early Monday morning, officials said.

Around 3:40 a.m., the fire department was called to the 3300 block of North Pulaski Road, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The fire was struck out shortly after 5:30 a.m., said Larry Langford, Chicago Fire Department spokesman.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Langford said.

According to police, the Arson Investigation Unit was dispatched to the scene.

No other information was immediately available during the investigation, officials said.
