UPTOWN — Portions of streets that were supposed to close to all traffic this weekend due to Wilson Red Line construction will now remain open, according to a CTA official.

Broadway from Leland to Wilson avenues will remain open this weekend. So will Leland avenue from Broadway to Winthrop Avenue and Clifton Avenue at Broadway.

That's because the work that was originally planned for this weekend was pushed back to later this month, according to Catherine Hosinski, a CTA spokeswoman.

The $203 million Wilson Red Line overhaul is expected to be completed in 2017.
