CHICAGO — Little League CEO Stephen Keener told the Washington Post that Jackie Robinson West leader Bill Haley admitted his league filed a bogus, backdated boundary map in an attempt to cover up cheating allegations.
“They obviously knew they had taken territory that didn’t belong to the league, so they made an attempt to meet with the other leagues and essentially ask, ‘Will you give us this territory?’ and [the other leagues] said no,” Little League president and CEO Stephen Keener told the newspaper in a telephone interview Wednesday.
Haley declined to talk with the newspaper, but a spokesman denied that Haley acknowledged violating Little League rules, according to the story.
