NORTH CENTER — Rick Bayless is bringing his brand of authentic Mexican cuisine to the Half Acre taproom for a pop-up dinner that celebrates the flavors of the Yucatan.

Xoco Bistro, which Bayless opened in August in Wicker Park, will be serving up a three-course meal April 6. The highlight is sure to be the Cochinita Pibil tacos, made with slow-roasted suckling pig.

Half Acre, 4257 N. Lincoln Ave., will pair a beer with each course, along with a special beer cocktail as guests arrive.

The $40 tickets are on sale now online. There will be two seatings: one at 6 p.m. and the second at 8:30 p.m.

The Half Acre event is the first of three Xoxo-brewery pop-ups. Dinner at Temperance Beer Co. in Evanston follows April 27 and at Revolution Brewing May 7.
