Man Accused of Stabbing Hyde Park Roommate Nabbed by Texas Police

HYDE PARK — Police in Dallas, Texas, have captured a Hyde Park man accused of stabbing his roommate.

According to Chicago police, 27-year-old Ross Jacobs is in custody in Dallas and awaiting extradition for allegedly stabbing his roommate multiple times at 3 a.m. on Friday on the 5400 block of South Hyde Park Boulevard.

Police were not immediately able to say when or where Jacobs was caught and said he will not be charged until he returns to Illinois.

Jacobs, a former graduate student at the University of Chicago, was banned from campus after he fled police.
