CHICAGO — Police are warning residents after two armed robberies in Hyde Park.

In the incidents, the robbers approached the victims and threatened them with physical violence while robbing them, police said in a statement.

Both incidents occurred around 9:45 p.m. Friday in the 5200 block of South Kimbark Avenue, police said.

One robber was described as an 18- or 19-year-old black man with dreadlocks, about 6-foot-1 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.

The other robber was described as a 16-or 17-year-old black teenager. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.
