NORWOOD PARK — If you've been hoarding old cell phones and blenders, Ald. Mary O'Connor (41st) is ready to take them off your hands.
O'Connor will host the 41st Ward's annual document shredding and electronic recycling event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 18 in the parking lot of St. Thecla Church, 6725 W. Devon Ave.
Televisions, computers, cables, phones, office equipment, stereo equipment and household electronics will be accepted.
Residents may bring three bags of documents to be shredded, organizers said.
Material from businesses will not be accepted, organizers said.
