NORTH CENTER — Spread the word, an advisory council is coming to Revere Park.

An informational meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the park, 2509 W. Irving Park Road.

Advisory councils work with a park's supervisor and staff to support park programming and improvements and also serve as a liaison for communicating community interests and concerns.

The nine-acre Revere Park was home to a brick factory in the late 1890s and had fallen into use as a city dump when the Park District bought the land in 1921.

Facilities at Revere include softball and football fields, tennis courts, a gymnasium and playground.

For more information, contact Greg Czajkowski, the park's supervisor, at 773-478-1220.
