Beverly Arts Center Readies For South Side Parade With Irish-Themed Events

MORGAN PARK — The Beverly Arts Center has a pair of Irish-themed events on tap for the weekend of the South Side Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade.

First, the Tartan Terrors will mingle with guests at 2407 W. 111th St. in Morgan Park. Prior to the Irish music troupe's concert, attendees can enjoy a pre-show cocktail party from 6:30-7:30 pm. on March 13.

The cocktail party includes an hour of open bar with light desserts and hors d'oeuvres. Tickets cost $20.

Tartan Terrors is a Celtic rock, dance and comedy group. The high-energy show features classic pipes and fiddle, driving drum tones and a signature brand of guitar stylings. The concert begins at 8 p.m. Concert tickets cost $28 for arts center members and $31 for non-members.

The South Side Irish Parade begins at noon on March 15. Throughout the day, the arts center will host Get In, Get Irish!

Family-friendly music and crafts will be available within the arts center from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on parade day. Food and beverages will be sold by Pat Murphy of Sweet Freaks, who will offer various desserts and sandwiches.

Character Fleadh, an Irish acoustic band, will take the stage from 2-4 p.m. March 15 as the finale of the day-long series of events. It costs $5 per person or $10 per family to attend Get In, Get Irish!
