HYDE PARK — The Hyde Park Community Players will perform a staged reading of “Death by Chocolate” on Friday.

In the farce by Paul Freed, a health resort manager teams up with a mystery writer to figure out who has been killing off the guests the night before the grand reopening.

The players will present the play at 8 p.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, 5500 S. Woodlawn Ave.

Tickets are $5.
