HYDE PARK — Getting to Shoesmith Elementary School will be a little more difficult starting Saturday when crews shut down a portion of East 50th Street to do repairs.

From Saturday through March 6, ComEd crews will take over the north and south lanes of East 50th Street west of Dorchester Avenue and also a portion of the east side of Dorchester Avenue south of 50th Street.

Signs will be posted where parking will be restricted until work is completed.
