SOUTH LOOP — Incumbent Ald. Will Burns (4th) won reelection in Tuesday's municipal election and will continue to represent Kenwood, parts of the South Loop and parts of Bronzeville at City Hall.

Burns was first elected to the city council in 2011.

"I’m just very grateful to the people of the 4th ward for giving me the opportunity to serve as alderman for another term and validating the hard work we’ve done," Burns said.

Though he's throwing a party at Hyatt Place Chicago, Burns said he might have a quick change of plans Tuesday night.

"I'm gonna sleep. I'm kinda tired," he said.
