Roberto Maldonado Wins 26th Ward Election ... But Just Barely Avoids Runoff

HUMBOLDT PARK — Incumbent Ald. Roberto Maldonado won reelection in the 26th Ward by a slim margin Tuesday, beating out challengers Juanita Irizarry and Adam Corona.

Madonado secured 52 percent of the vote, followed most closely by Juanita Irizarry, who got 34 percent of the vote and trailed by Adam Corona, who received 14 percent of the vote.

The 26th Ward includes Humboldt Park, Logan Square, West Town and Hermosa.
