CHICAGO— One man was killed and two others wounded in gunfire across the city since Thursday night, officials said.
A man died after being shot in his head in Logan Square late Thursday.
In the most recently reported shooting, a 25-year-old man was wounded Friday morning in Chatham, police said.
At 1:25 a.m., the man was inside his apartment in the 7900 block of South Ingleside Avenue, when he opened the door and a man outside shot him, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.
The man was shot in his left forearm and buttocks and taken to Northwestern Hospital where his condition had stabilized, Estrada said.
No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
At 9:30 p.m., a 31-year-old was driving northbound on I-94 near 75th Street when another vehicle pulled alongside and fired two shots, striking the man in his stomach, said Sgt. Rodney Collins, an Illinois State Police spokesman.
The man drove himself to St. Bernard Hospital and then transported to Stroger where his condition had stabilized, Collins said.
