LINCOLN SQUARE — Not that it's looking to put itself out of the repair business, but Turin Bicycle would like to teach riders a thing or two about simple bike maintenance.

On Sunday, Turin, 4710 N. Damen Ave., is kicking off a series of weekly hourlong bike service clinics.

First up: the basics. Don't know a spoke from a hub? The inaugural session will provide a tutorial on bike parts, safety checks and proper maintenance routines.

Subsequent clinics will focus on how to inspect and adjust your brakes; adjustment and maintenance of shifters, cables and derailleurs; tire maintenance and how to change an inner tube; and an in-depth look at the wheel.

Topics will go into a continuous rotation, so if you miss a session it will circle back around, and around, and around.

The clinics will take place at 6 p.m. Sundays.
