CHICAGO — A teenage boy was wounded in a shooting Monday in Woodlawn, police said.

At 1:15 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in his back in the 6200 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The boy was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, Lemmon said.

According to police, the boy was uncooperative with investigators.
