Man Found Dead in Chatham, Autorities Say

CHICAGO — A man was found dead in Chatham Friday night, police said.

At 11:55 p.m., a man was found unresponsive in the 8600 block of South Holland Road, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, Clevland Head, of the 9100 block of South Wentworth Avenue, was pronounced dead at 12:30 a.m.

Head suffered a broken neck from blunt force trauma. The morgue ruled his death a homicide, though police at this point are calling it a death investigation, Sweeney said.
