UPTOWN — Two challengers vying to represent the 46th Ward will participate in a candidate forum Feb. 15.

The forum, put on by local organization ONE Northside, will be held from 2-4 p.m. at Alternatives Inc., 4730 N. Sheridan Rd. Community members are encouraged to attend.

Challengers Amy Crawford and Denice Davis will share their visions at the forum. Ald. James Cappleman (46th) was invited, but has not confirmed his attendance.

Crawford is a partner at Kirkland & Ellis law firm, where she has fought for LGBT rights. She's also been an advocate for disabled and mentally ill clients, according to her campaign website.

Though Davis served as former Uptown Ald. Helen Schiller's longtime chief of staff, she has told DNAinfo Chicago that she's a "totally different person." Davis supports a living wage, an elected school board and city and mental health services, according to her campaign website.

ONE Northside does not endorse candidates.

The election is Feb. 24.
