LINCOLN SQUARE — Though the vast majority of the 250 restaurants participating in Chicago Restaurant Week — which actually runs for two weeks —  are located downtown, there's no need to schlep to the Gold Coast for a good meal.

Restaurant Week prix fixe specials can be found at a number of neighborhood restaurants, Jan. 30 to Feb. 12. Reservations aren't required but are highly recommended. Tax, tip and drinks are not included.

• Bistro Campagne in Lincoln Square has a three-course menu for $33. First course options range from onion soup to steak tartare. For the second course, choose among trout, chicken or hangar steak. Finish up with creme brulee, pain perdu or pot-de-creme au chocolat. 4518 N. Lincoln Ave.

• Bread & Wine in Irving Park is also offering a three-course, $33 menu. A roasted beets starter is followed by a second course of sauteed prawns or chicken thigh. The dessert course is white chocolate banana pudding. 3732 W. Irving Park Rd.

• Browntrout in North Center has four courses for $44, with the option to add a wine tasting pairing for $20. For the first course, choose among chicken liver pate, seared wild mushrooms or Belgian beer sausage. The second course offers your pick between carrot and squash soup or shaved kale and brussels sprouts. Third course entree options are pumpkin risotto, salmon or Browntrout ramen. Dessert is fallen-chocolate souffle or apple fritters. 4111 N. Lincoln Ave.

• Mariano's Ravenswood store is offering a variety of lunch-for-two specials for $22, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Options range from sushi to barbecue to seafood. 1800 W. Lawrence Ave.
