Friday

Jermaine Fowler at Zanies, 1548 N. Wells St., 8:30 p.m.

Before Jermaine Fowler got his wheels rolling in the standup game he was appearing in promos for McDonald's, Sobe and Sports Illustrated. Fowler has been touring with College Humor and Comedy Central on Campus. You can also see Fowler on MTV2's "Guy Code" and Comedy Central's "Comedy Underground with Dave Attel." Tickets to the show are $25 with the minimum purchase of two food or beverage items.

Strand of Oaks, Kevin Morby and Adia Victoria will perform Saturday night at Lincoln Hall as a part of the five-day music fest Tomorrow Never Knows 2015. Tickets to the 18-and-over show are $15. Five-day passes are $100.

Recalling the "Modern Mile" at Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St., 1 p.m.

Listen to costume curator Petra Slinkard discuss how 20th Century retail era helped develop North Michigan Avenue. Holly Lundberg will join the discussion with costume conservation methods used to prepare garments for display. The discussion costs $15 for members.

Sunday

Chicago New Music Jam at the Tonic Room, 2447 N. Halsted Ave., 8 p.m.

Head to Tonic Room for the Chicago New Music Jam hosted by Fareed Haque and Mathgames every Sunday. The 21-and-over show is free to attend.

Probcause at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., 9 p.m.

Probcause, Psalm One aka Hologram Kizzie, Sabapivot, Kat V, Plus, Cofresi & Earn Money will perform Sunday night at Lincoln Hall as a part of the five-day music fest Tomorrow Never Knows 2015. Tickets to the 18-and-over show are $15. Five-day passes are $100.
