BRIDGEPORT — The Bridgeport Boxing Club is opening its doors to the community for a day filled with free fitness classes.

Owners Shawna and Frankie "Time Bomb" Scalise said Sunday's event is a way of giving thanks to the residents who've supported their business, which opened last year at 3411 S. Halsted St.

Since then, the 3,000-square-foot gym has served as a training ground for boxing novices and professionals — it's where Scalise and other pro boxers train — and has hosted high-energy Zumba classes and calming yoga sessions.

The event will offer a taste of everything offered there, from kids workout classes to boxing boot camp. All of the classes are free. A complete schedule is below:

Yoga (ages 16 and up)
10-11 a.m.

Tiny Bombs kids fitness (ages 4-6)

Youth Cardio Boxing (ages 7-15)
