ROGERS PARK — Just one of the two candidates for 49th Ward alderman will attend a Republican-sponsored forum next week.

Don Gordon will join the 49th Ward Republican Organization from 3-4:40 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Loyola Park field house, 1230 W. Greenleaf Ave., to share his "vision for the Ward," according to Suzanne Devane, the ward's republican committeeman.

Moore said Tuesday he declined to attend the event that was intended to showcase both contenders.

Devane said the former 49th Ward candidates that were tossed from the ballot might also attend the forum.
