LINCOLN PARK — It's the last week of Lincoln Park Zoo's ZooLights, and there's been at least one engagement at the event this year.

The zoo proposal was followed by a celebratory PBR toast Dec. 3, according to Louis Glunz Beer Inc.

The marriage proposal occurred during the first Brewlights event, which brought 5,000 beer lovers to the holiday zoo event.

According to Glunz, the one-night event raised more than $100,000 for the zoo.

Glunz teamed up with the zoo's auxiliary board to host the beer-tasting event at the zoo that sold out at 5,000 tickets.

“We’re so thrilled that we were able to raise funds for such an iconic Chicago institution,” said Jennifer G. Faulk, director of marketing for Glunz. “BrewLights was a festive way to support Lincoln Park Zoo and celebrate the holidays with Chicago craft beer enthusiasts.”

ZooLights is open from 5-9 p.m. through Sunday.
