BRIDGEPORT — New Year's Eve in the neighborhood means special menus from chefs, all-you-can-drink affairs and DJ-fueled dance parties.

Here's a look at what's happening on Wednesday night:

The Duck Inn chef Kevin Hickey at the neighborhood's new hotspot, 2701 S. Eleanor St., is cooking up a New Year's Eve tasting menu in the dining room featuring oysters and caviar, ribeye steaks, cheese courses and a baked Alaska dessert. $75 per person; $115 with wine pairing; $105 with beer pairing. Reservations can be made by calling 312-724-8811 or visiting the restaurant's website. The upfront bar will continue serving its traditional menu of upscale bar food, including fried cheese curds with Bloody Mary ketchup and the duck fat hot dog.

Mitchell's Tap For $50, patrons can get unlimited top shelf drinks and beer from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. A DJ is scheduled to spin tunes all night. 3356 S. Halsted St.

Nana Organic Chef Jeremy Kiens is preparing an a la carte feast featuring some of the restaurant's signature items and entrees, including avocado fries, duck confit flautas, braised lamb and ancho chili braised short ribs. Live music from a Latin jazz duo and drink specials, too. And don't forget about Nana's annual pajama brunch on New Year's Day. Reservations will be taken until 10 p.m. and can be made by calling 312-929-2486 or visiting the restaurant's website

Thirty3 Bar + Grill A $40 wristband gives partygoers access to food and premium drinks from 9 p.m. to midnight. Shot specials, DJ music and complimentary champagne toast are all part of the fun. 3304 S. Halsted St.

Polo Cafe Reservations are required for this prix fixe menu, which includes choice of appetizers, pork chop ($40) , grilled ribeye ($50), baked salmon ($35) or pasta primavera ($35), gourmet sides and desserts. Maria's Community Bar The craft beer bar at 960 W. 31st St. is taking $1 off every last one of its 18 draft beers for its New Year's Eve holiday party, and bartenders will be mixing special cocktails throughout the night as DJ Luis Aguilera spins dance tunes.
