CHICAGO — Police reissued a warning to Portage Park residents about a series of garage burglaries that occurred last month.
In the incidents, burglars made their way into residential garages and took property, police said in a community alert.
The burglaries occurred in the:
• 4000 block of North Major Avenue on Nov. 19 between 9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.;
• 5000 block of West Cullom Avenue on Nov. 22-23 between 8 p.m. and 9 a.m.;
• 5000 block of West Cullom Avenue on Nov. 22-23 between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m.;
• 4200 block of North Melvina Avenue on Nov. 26 between 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m.;
• 4000 block of North Moody Avenue on Nov. 25-26 between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Police said residents should ensure their property perimeter is well lit and doors and windows are locked.
